1. Background: In the midst of incessant prevalence of numerous social, economic, technological and geo-political mega developments, the global economy is increasingly becoming more open and integrated system where countries compete for investment and human capital that are critical for their economic growth. Levels of country international competitiveness are increasingly getting monitored by global competitive rankings published by certain institutions which include the world Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Competitiveness Report, and Institute of Management Development’s (IMD) World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY) Report.
